6 minute walk from a beautiful beach. Beach passes were provided, but no one at the beach ever asked to see them. There was live music one night at the beach. 5 minute walk from a great grocery store where we picked up croissants, bananas and fresh squeezed OJ for breakfast on our beautiful shady porch. We were in a ground floor basic unit that had a view onto the garden. We saw beautiful birds including parakeets in the morning flying onto the trees. The pool was huge, very clean. Washrooms were provided at the pool. We spent an afternoon at the beach (where there are loungers etc for rent), but came back and preferred the quiet, lack of crowds and no sand at our pool instead. Everything was super clean and we regularly saw maintenance painting to freshen a unit.

The location is 5 min walk to Jan Thiel Beach. The cottege was newly renovated, specious and nice, had a separate kitchen +dining/living room+terrace balcony. The kitchen was fully equipped with appliances, which is very convenient for someone who prefers to cook. And there is a Dutch supermarket by Papagayo Beach. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were not, and only 2. The bathroom was nice with good water pressure and clean towels. In general, it is a good place for money if you are not too picky and don't expect anything fancy.

Spoke to Patricia before my stay as another family member and friend wanted to join our trip making it a total of 6 for the villa they gave us a 3 bedroom villa which was very accommodating for the same price, Patricia made a note for our reservation and explained everything before we came which was awesome, the pool is really nice, it's close to a nice beach, need a rental to move around if u really want to experience the island and the area felt very safe, great place for families.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is close to a beach, restaurants, the Mambo Beach, Sea Aquarium and many great food options were very close. The Resort was always very quiet and peaceful. It felt very safe no matter the time of day. Breakfast had a good variety. I would highly suggest renting a car.

I really enjoyed the whole stay. The location was ideal, located next to the Jan Thiel beach, a bunch of restaurants (Kokos was our favorite breakfast spot), and a small grocery store. The breakfast was a bit overpriced at Jan Thiel, but the bar food was great!
